What is upper limit RH to seal in mason jars ?
Few jars 70-72RH too high?

58–59 maybe 60-61 but your hygrometer better be calibrated. 70-72 you‘re asking for problems.

I personally try for 62%. You can get some dry rice and put it in a nylon stocking or mesh bag and put it in the jar for a hour or two, it will bring the humidity right down. I will use about 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup of rice for a quart jar. Also prior to putting into mesh bag I heat the dry rice in the microwave for a minute or two, to remove any moisture.
