my question is would it be a good idea to remove any fan leads around the buds to allow more sunlight and energy to assist in the flowering process photos would be appreciated showing what leads.

I only remove fan leaves if they are yellowing....

Yes you can remove some fan leaves even if they're not yellowing.
You need to keep the under side cleaned out of leaves and branches.
It's a fine line. Take some of the upper fans from inside to aid in getting light to the buds, but not too many. I try to never take more than 10% of the total in one week, then allow them to recover. Repeat in a week or 10 days if needed.
