Fan leaves turning wilting and dying?!

Hello,

My healthiest plant is starting to loosing its fan leaves. Just like overnight they are wilting and look like they are dying. Only the fan leaves are dying. The buds and other interior leaves are fine. I am in the last few weeks before harvest. My Ph is at 6.4 and my nutes are in check. I have a water cooler and my water temp is 73 degs. I hope this helps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is very common, normal and natural for lower fan leaves to wilt, yellow and fall off during Flowering. Mostly because the Flowering nutes are high on Phosperous and low on Nitrogen. If you add 1/16 to 1/12 dose of the VEG nutes, or a very small amount of Nitrogen, those fan leaves will stop yellowing and falling off.
It is a 2 sided debate . Some growers always add a very small amount of Nitrogen nutes to the Flworing nutes, saying they want a much healthier plant and a very healthy plant makes larger buds. They say more fan leaves makes more food for the plant.

Some growers say the falling off fan leaves make more room for LIGHT to penetrate into the plant.

Some nutrients, like Advanced Nutrients already have some additional nitrogen in the flowering nutes.

Some Flowering nutes have NO nitrogen, and some have very little N in them.

Roseman, Thanks, I feel better now!! I did cut off several leaves that looked bad. I hope this didn't hurt. I will just let them fall off from now on.
