TWO PEOPLE were charged with obstructing after they gave a deputy a false name about 9:10 a.m. Tuesday. Jose Gonzalez, 32, Bolingbrook, was also charged with possession of 2.5 to 10 grams of marijuana. Lisa Skinner, 36, Oak Lawn, was only charged with obstructing. Both were held in lieu of $100 bonds.
Deputy Paul Clampitt reported he was called to 7280 East U.S. 6 because former renters had returned to the residence. The deputy reported he found Skinner and Gonzalez walking in a field nearby. When Gonzalez saw the deputy, he dropped something behind a tree.
Both denied having any identification and gave false names.
Deputy Clampitt said he had been told the man's name was Jose and when he confronted Gonzalez with this, he gave his correct name. Skinner gave the deputy permission to search her purse and he found her identification.
Both said they thought there were warrants for their arrest from Will County. A computer check showed no outstanding warrants for either one and this was confirmed by Will County.
Deputy Clampitt reported he looked around the tree and found a case that contained three corner-cut bags of marijuana, which weighed a total of six grams.
