Fabric pots LST question

Hi whats the best method for lst in fabric pots ? I been thinking about clips or gardening wire but what thickness ?

I use Safety Pins with Pipe Cleaners attached to them and just pin to the edge of fabric

That's not bad idea actually but my wife also thought about tent hooks like that and just stick them in the soil but I wonder if that will not damage the root what u think ?
