any other outdoor growers, who have been looking forward all summer to harvest, kinda get the blues after it's all over? kind of like after Christmas morning when you were a kid and everything is done. got a great harvest, have no need to grow anything indoors but probably will in a month or two just because you get so wrapped up and excited about it all.

I know exactly what you mean.
Harvest is the happiest time of the year for me, but that's over as soon as I start manicuring.
I've been manicuring almost non-stop for the last 3 weeks (got it totaled at 100 hours so far) and I'm so sick and tired of it.
Looking at all my 1-gal. curing containers is enjoyable, all lined up, 24 containers 3/4 full. I'll be test smoking a nug here and there this weekend.

I don't have near that. in fact I came in a little light this year, which brings a good question--if you have all that much to harvest and manicure, what do you do w/ the small budlings that are too small to fuck with? I mean the ones down low that would take 3 or 4 to make a decent bowl?
I make a big ass jar that I call 'scratch'. I cut off a lot of the smaller leaves, and these little buds (ones so small that it's not worth manicuring--there's not much left when you trim 'em) and dry them all out real good, then fill a huge jar with the mixture. cure it for a few weeks to get some of that chlorophyl taste out, and dry them some more. eventually you can crumble the whole shit to a fine powder, mix it up well and save it for a rainy day. put a real small scoop in, and you have backup. roll a decent joint and you'll actually get pretty high. it's not the good stuff but it's a hell of a lot better than being totally dry.
