Got my first edd and flo but I've yet to decide how long between water cycles (flooding bucket).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated:Namaste::Namaste:

re: Ebb & Flo advice needed

Is ebb and flow what u r using or deep water culture, ebb and flow I would go from a couple with co-co to maybe 6 in the day and one at night with perlite, all depends on the medium and dynamics of the system, ebb and flow or otherwise called flood and drain works really well especillally with pots of hydroclay and small rockwool cubelets.

Perfect! Thanks. I am using hydroclay and rockwool cubelets. :)

re: Ebb & Flo advice needed

I was wondering whether an air pump. I have one so I may as well use it.

Yo GS how's ya,cubes n pebbles are the buzz, always use a powerful air stone, flood maybe twice during lights on,at t beginning and a few hours b4 lights off,not at night for several reasons,it means less humidity at night, the plants are hardly active although other important functions go on while they sleep, and very slight water stress which with most plants hurry them up a bit, couple that with a higher yield, cleaner weed and precise control and I don't get the soil thing except for low maintenance mothers, certainly not for flowering, grorocks are organic anyway and I would start off with say growth tech optimum bloom from ec1 building to 1.6 and add seaweed and superthrive to add density on week 6 approx.TBS.

I was flooding every 3 hours. Is that too much? I will bring it down to once every 6 hours. They are under 12/12 light, week 6. Still transitioning from veg to flower. Lemon Haze takes almost 2 weeks longer then Afghani to show pistils. At least that's what I've experienced so far. Will take your advice of adding seeweed and superthrive. May I ask what the nute numbers are for that latter one. I will try to match it best I can.

Cool, also reducing the watering a little towards the end brings on finishing a bit faster along with upping the pH a bit as well say from 5.8-6 so p and k are more available and nitrogen less so,senecscense or the plants last is what you are trying to recreate, the harvest sun(sodium) and other things making it think its finito,at this stage yellow leaves are a sign of the end and you should get extra trichs-i myself wait till 90% brown with a good dosing of amber, the afgani defo for the heavy effect, the haze maybe not, milky trichs would b a lifter.
Superthrive is like hesi vit,I tried both but superthrive, well 25yrs in and still its the dogs, hesi is good through if you can't get superthrive, what am I saying u can get it on e bay etc,you can smell the yeasty b1 which our babies love, seaweed and bits happen to also be the main things in 'Density' a Canadian product that as far as I know hasn't hit Britain yet, also look out for comfrey extract or grow a patch and brew a super tea(put an air stone in)add on week 6 or 7 to build extra flavour I like to add some orgs at the end before flushing, also are they in different containers/resovoirs coz well different nute needs.watch for leaf curl or clawing on the haze, lower feed if so.TBS
