Easy way to clone a plant

I am new to growing. So I do not clam to know everything, however I wanted to clone my female plants so I followed to placing them in the small cubes and all that stuff. That tool a long time. So I figured on trying another way. I clipped off some potential branches to clone. Got a cup, filled it with water and placed a small amount of rooting compound (powder) then placed a piece of clear plastic wrap on top of the cup. Then I cut wholes in the plastic were I wanted to place a wannabee clone. Just allowing only the nodes that I wanted roots to grow in (usually two nodes) the water. Presto in a few weeks you will see nice roots growing. Then take them out and place them in dirt. pack down the dirt around the roots and water. that is it. Much easier for me that the other way.
