Eastvale is set to become the latest Inland city to adopt a total ban on medical marijuana dispensaries and deliveries and cultivation of the substance within the city limits.
Council members on Jan. 27 will hold a public hearing on the proposed ordinance.
Similar prohibitions have been adopted by other Inland-area cities including Corona, Riverside and Jurupa Valley.
The new ordinances have been adopted in response to the state's Medical Marijuana and Safety Act which allows state licensing for medical cannabis businesses in cities and counties that do no have a specific ban.
The Eastvale City Council will meet at 6 p.m. at Rosa Parks Elementary School, 13830 Whispering Hills Drive, Eastvale.
