E-mail notices

Anyone know how to turn off e-mail notifications. my box is getting flooded with notices. Thanks for any help I can get

Next to your "Welcome (user name)"/"My Profile there is "Settings". Drop down menu hit Settings and then under My Settings under My Account there is a General Settings button, click on that and there is a bunch of things you can toggle off "Default Thread Subscription" will get you a lot, turn it off and just manually Subscribe to the threads you want to follow. Then at the bottom when done click on "Save Changes" as it won't take until you do that.
