Dutch Treat 400 Watt FF soil

What strain is it? Dutch Treat

Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages? Mostly Indica 80/20 i beleive

Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Vegging out

If in Veg... For how long? starting the 4th week (12-4-2010) since transplanting then into their pots. ( 1.5 weeks in 16 oz cups, the rest are in 5 gallon buckets)

Indoor or outdoor? Indoor

Soil or Hydro? Soil

If soil... what is in your mix? Fox Farms Ocean Blend

If soil... What size pot? 5 Gallon ( i know bigger than they should be and I have been told to increment the sizes better but im poor and in college full time.

Size of light? 400 Watt Hortilux bulbs ( forgot the make and model exactly didnt think it matters, ask if it does.

Is it aircooled? 12 or 14 fan right next to the reflector

Temp of Room/cab? with light on 75-82 without light drops to 55-65

RH of Room/cab? un sure

PH of media or res? 6.4 +-.1

Any Pests ? So far none at all.

How often are you watering? Right now every 4 days ( twice a week )

Type and strength of ferts used? I use Fox Farm Ferts the Soil Trio Pack. Plus a flower nute from Fox Farms, Beastie Bloomz, high in P.

I am trying my FIRST LST. These pics dont have the LST stuff in place but the next pics will show them in training, it was a crazy day when I took the pics.

Heres the run down on the first 3 weeks of these little girls lives:

Hello, so that above is the basic information, figured its due first. I have acquired some happy clones that were a little beat up in the first week because I over fed them followed by being late with their watering.

So when I transplanted them I discovered the roots were border line root rotted and both were root bound. Transplanted them, flush them with 2 gallons of water and on a strict feeding schedule.

I also topped them, I screwed up the FIM. So I topped them instead heh. I am going to be making a mother out of a clone I will take in the next week or so. Definetly will post pics on that!!!!!

OK Now for the practical stuff, pictures! And I am so sorry the quality is bad in the next pictures I will try to improve them. In the next couple weeks my girlfriend will be here with a $800 camera.

hehe glad to see someone looking. It is a pleasent strain I am just putting this online to get any random advice and to document the creation of my mother plant and maybe keep it growing throught different grow experiements .


I topped them some time ago, I will clone them within 2-5 days from now. Im planning that they get close to 18 inches was about to put them into flowering. The left plant is just over 11 inches and the right is like 10.5 I will put up the flowering closet dimensipons soon. They are roughly 2.5 feet wide X 4 feet long and over 6 feet tall and that is the highest I could move the 400 watt light.

Hey thanks for the replies I like the sig GodSpeed, I know in those pics it doesn't show but I am LSTing them as well, well trying, this is my 4th grow ever and first LST attempt. Each grow I plan on trying new stuff that should improve on what I had before.

Thats one thing I really look forward to with the cloning for a mother plant off these.

I will post pic tonight because I got a question that I should know because I've spent countless hour reading on THIS SITE but I just don't want to stress my girls out ya know. Thanks everyone for checkin out the grow so far!!

OK The Question.

I am no expert. This grow is only my 4th personal grow, and naturally I would like to show the most love for my plants without stressing them.

In the pictures shown below is my my second plant, I have a bunch of growth in the middle bottom, with the stems and their "power plants" ( the big leaves that absorbs the light for each node) I want to clone this week any time pretty much should work when I don't have homework or work in the next 2 or 3 days.

(I know the pic quality is crap but my girlfriend who will be in town in a couple weeks has an amazing cameria which will be perfect for all the bud porn I will show!!! but is still a couple weeks away. THANKS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO LOOK AT MY LOW QUALITY PICTURES!!! IT WILL GET BETTER I PROMISE!!! )

I only have two plants growing and need to maximize what they have to offer in that space as soon as possible. I wish I could squeeze 3 months of vegging into 2 weeks heh.

My question is: Should I take out all the undergrowth area when I clone including the big leaves that I call power plants when I trim them or will I stress my girls, I think they should be ok, but I really need to maximize my yield and don't wan't to over stress these pretty ladies.

Here is the main pic, the bottom area is just a bunch of growth, I would like to trim as much as possible to alowo the top buds to get all the energy they need / want. I will attempt a clone off the left node in the picture from this plant which I hope to make a mother plant in the future. Then I will do the trimming which should be within 2 -3 days.


I got a separate mother room I will document of course. ready with only cfls, black plastic, good humid dome and clonex.


Thats the update for now I will go and enjoy some tasty and pungeant purp I bought for $65 a quarter ( alrdy smoked a gram outta there)

Yeah i had a good go at LST on my last few grows and realy liked it mainly because it helped to spread and even canopy.
I found it was a lot of work to take on so this time im opting for a very first screen think this will work for me better mayb you should try filling a screen with some cuttings for your mother?

Hey everyone, sorry its been a little while it is finals week for school and I am a professional procrastinator!!!!!!! Finals done now and wake'n baking to some purp+kief after a heavy night of drinking

The ladies have been growing very nice lately, I will post a picture hopefully tonight when the girls wake up, the wake up at 8 PST.. the topping I did was amazing most the shoots shot up near within a inch or so or parallel with the two tops. Very bushy and very green and happy so far. LSTing them a little "mean" now too and the lower branches are lovin it. >=D

I will really try to get some pics soon. I want to take a clone today if possible too. The bad thing in part of the branch I was looking to clone has a little bit of darker color since it has been there for some time ( just the aging sign of the stem/branch ) Can someone PLEASE PLEASE tell me if I can still clone that or if they must be fully green and new looking? I will still try it because I want to trim the plants a little anyway but thought might as well give the cloning proccess a first go at it even if it is old.

AND NOW THE HOLIEST OF HOLY GRAILS ( My first amatuer mother / mother room):

There is my future mother room, I have velcro split down the middle so it opens like a door and blocks out the light so I can sleep good and gf don't complain.

The room is roughly 2Ft. long X 3.5 Ft. Long X 7 Ft. Tall.

So I gotta keep that mother in control!!!! I am planning cloning tomorrow, I would do it now if my mom didn't hide the cloning puck....... The stem still has some green on it, but its looking slightly aged not much. Is it still ok to clone that???????

UPDATE!*&^%

These girls are about 3-6 days until I change the bulb to an HPS an 12/12. I am trying to LST them and they are taking it like champs but the past week I have had a ton of finals so I was lucky enough I finished all my stuff on time.

This is the last time I post with such a horrible camera!! I promise better quality soon when some flowering action happens.

O K I went ahead and tried the cloning experiment by my self and the first two died for some reason I think I didn't pack the puck into the stem enough.

I have three now that I will post pics on. I am using gro|dan plant starters rockwool.

The one on the left I took about 3 hours ago, it was a lower branch I was pruning anyway and thought I would try it. The other two on the right were some branches off a main stem about 2 days old. This is my first time so advice is welcomed, don't be mean.

I have a humid dome this is just before a spray and the camera quality is crap with the dome on. Also a heating mat underneath the tray.
