Dutch 'to ban' drug tourism

I'm not sure if the provision will pass, because tourism to Amsterdam may drop dramatically if the provision is passed. And revenue in the country certainly will drop.

Heres to preying it isn't passsed.

From what I've read they aren't anywhere near having the votes to change the law

There just might be a reason for it. They basically quit selling space cake because of tore down tourists just standing around in space in the middle of town. I just try and see the other side. But there is simply no way that they can give up a tourist cash cow like it is. They may make a little racket, righteous indignation, but at the end of the day the Euro will rule.

this is what USA is afraid of even though weed is a big contributer to the economy. weed is too big for Hollands economy and the sales are 70% tourists, the money is a big factor so they won't do it because it will hurt them

No! That would be terrible! I haven't had a chance to visit yet (it's on my bucket list!) and would absolutely hate for such a gem to be lost. I do have to agree with SOUTHERNWEED though it is always best to look at the other side as well. I can understand from their POV that they wouldn't want a bunch of spaced out tourist crowding up their beautiful land but they are kind of screwed because it is pretty much their whole economy! Oi ve...would love to see how this turns out.
