"A sophisticated drug tunnel has been found linking two San Diego-area buildings to a home in Mexico," reports ABC Local. The passage spans approximately half-mile from warehouses in Otay Mesa to a home kitchen in Tijuana, Mexico. Eight people have been arrested and more than 20 tons of marijuana have been seized.

The tunnel is, "equipped with advanced rail, electrical and ventilation systems," and has two U.S. entrances located 800 feet apart in warehouses. The house in Tijuana had a garage large enough to accommodate tractor trailer truck deliveries.

According to ABC Local, Federal agents discovered the tunnel as a result of an "ongoing investigation." Officials conducting surveillance saw suspicious tractor trailer activity at a warehouse located in the 10000 block of Marconi Drive and alerted border patrol. When the truck was searched at the Temecula checkpoint officials found 27,600 pounds of marijuana.

Economics 101:

If the domestic product is better and the price is matched or lower than that of the imports, importation of that product will stop.

Stop the cartels. Stop the violence. Stop shipping our money out of the country.
All we have to do is stop arresting our selfs.

Labor is cheap to nothing in US/Mex border towns. Illegal Aliens from as far as South American end up in them. There could be a million tunnels.
