A 4inch duct booster fan seats perfectly in the top of the ona gel 1 gallon tub. So I emptied a little out into a seperate container to create some airspace, drilled 3/8 inch holes around the neck and sat the duct booster in to pull air through the holes and out the top. Smells great..

Does it evaporate the ona gel faster this way?

I just did it last night, but I would imagine so. But the benefit you get is 1000% more odor control due to the air movement right over the gel. If just leaving the gel container open works good enough for you then dont go with the fan. If you have a really dank room you need to neutralize the fan is the way to go. I would suggest putting on a cycle timer and running on/off through out the day to maximize longevity balanced with effectiveness.
