I have been thinking about getting a vaporizer and was wondering what differences in the high you have noticed between the 2 methods?

Takes a bit longer to feel it in my experience, it creeps up more than it hits you.
More of a head high, as it seems the smoke itself, not the thc adds to the body high somewhat.
Unless it is a heavy indica, I don't get as tired, probably due to no smoke as well. Also, not as much red eye or elevated hear rate.
You can still tell it's weed obviously, but it is a little more floaty and light. Not to say you don't get right stoned, as you are getting pure thc pretty much.
Also, I'm sure you know that there are a lot of health benefits to not inhaling smoke.

i love smoking from a vape.. as long as the weed is good, its a great experience. the taste is so good and the high is great. As said earlier, its a much more pure high. You will feel better all around, not to mention you use far less.

One of the pro's of vaping is that even if the weed is bad it won't taste horrid when you use it. I've vaped the weed from a 1 year old joint and it didn't taste bad at all. I find it's better to vape cheep weed and get super stoned than to smoke it and not totally enjoy the experience. When I have good weed though, I both smoke and vape it. That way I can enjoy the advantages that both methods offer. Now that I've started vaping, I hate to smoke dirt weed; vaping is the only way I can really enjoy it.

I absolutely love my Volcano. I think it's great, basically what everyone has said here is correct. I usually feel high fairly quick from my Volcano, like two bags before work and I'm all set.
You can vape cheap weed and still get high which is great. And the best thing of all is if you save your 'Volcano Poo' you can make edibles out of all the weed you've vaped, recycle.

I like using the volcano and the taste is very nice, but once in awhile i enjoy a nice big bong hit. I used the volcano alot for the first few weeks i had it, but I still use the bong alot more.

There is a video on utube of some old dude showing how to use a whip vape. He explains how you can control the type of high by the temp. On my I or I would try and find it.
Personally I only like a nice whip, friend has a volcano and I didn't like it. So try and try a couple out before u buy. Trying or buying a cheap vape may turn you off on the whole thing, it did me. Tried a friends cheap whip that used some hokey soldering iron setup.
I went ssv and it was well worth it. I feel healthier now that I don't smoke at all.

I have been smoking about 30 years now and have tried my pot in many ways. If I want an instant high ,I always bong it. If I want to realy taste it I role a joint. Ive tried the vaperizer and didnt care for it , It somewhat weeker in when smoked through it. Of course if I want a all day body and head buzz I take about 1/4 oz of bud and fry it up in butter and make some brownes.
