Did I already screw up?

I have a sapling that is 16 days old. I just found out through other people that I was suppose to put my baby under 18/8 hours of lighting when it's just a baby until (what I heard) around 3 weeks of age. The problem is, is that I did not know this and was listening to some other people who are probably as n00bish as me and I didn't know any better at the moment. I have been putting my baby under 12/12 hours of lighting since it was just a wee thing. I now know you are suppose to put it under that kind of lighting only to make it go into flowering after it's been done with it's 'baby stage'. So have I already screw up with my plant since I have been putting it under 12/12 lighting it's who life?
The plant still looks healthy as can be. Green, growing well, no yellowing, no droopage. But I hope I didn't fuck up the sex since I put under too little lighting...

For those who help me, here is a joint. :joint:

only thing that will happen is throw it into flowering early, which is what happened for me (also i was throwing it under 3000k lights because of my lack of knowledge on my first grow), if you see pistils comming out, it may be too late, but if you dont see anything, then just go back to 18/6 with the right lights (6500k) and it should get back into veg mode.

Well that is what I am trying to figure out. I've seen some people do the 12/12 the entire time and they still get some females that turn out all right. :S I just want what's best for my plant.

Also, I just transplanted my baby just like 10 minutes ago. It was kind of root bound when I transplanted it so I had to be a bit rough getting it out and into a bigger pot. Can this lead it to change sex? Or is it ok since it's not even old enough to determine what it is yet?

Sorry for all these noobish questions. I am just nervous. :p

I've never done this, but I have seen crops grown like this. Yield is significantly reduced but you can get 1-2 more grows a year w/o veg cycle...
