Princess Diana's astrologer Penny Thornton has been charged with dealing cannabis. She claims her home was raided and she was arrested just because she shares a PO box number with traders who sell cannabis chocolate bars.
Ms Thornton said her arrest was "so ridiculous it was almost comical".
Officers from Cumbria, where the cannabis seller is based, travelled to her home in Haslemere, Surrey, to quiz her. She said she was held in a cell for six hours before being charged.
Ms Thornton, who gave Diana horoscope readings for six years, said it was "a monumental cock-up worthy of Monty Python".
She has a website and receives her horoscope mail via a PO box in Huntingdon, Cambs, shared by others. They include a firm which sells Cannacho on the internet to multiple sclerosis sufferers.
Ms Thornton said: "This is the most staggering incompetence anyone can imagine. _ I have lived a blameless life, the most I have ever had is a speeding ticket." She added: "I pay for my PO box number but I have never been there. I have nothing to do with cannabis.
"Marcus the webmaster told me a week or two before the general election that there were people using the PO box who supplied cannabis."
She said she was traumatised by the police raid on her home. "My whole life has stopped, my office was ransacked and my computers, Filofax and telephones were taken.
"I told my husband I don't want to go back into my study because it feels like it has been invaded. I can't believe this will ever come to court."
She has been bailed pending further inquiries and must report to Penrith police station in Cumbria on September 5.
Police confirmed that they were investigating her.
