Dense & bushy growth: trimming in flower?

Hey guys,
This is my first growth and I've had some unexpected things coming up so far.
It is an auto flower in a 2x2ft cupboard growing in clay pebbles. It hasn't started auto flowering until week 7 when I finally decided to switch to 12/12 and therefore grew much bigger than expected. A little too big for the small space.

My question now is: should I get rid of some fan leaves and/or the bottom third because there's no light there anyway?

Seed mixups are pretty common- it’s clearly not an auto. Yes I would take some clippers and trim all the undergrowth out. Now is a good time. I usually keep about one main bud every 3” or so at most, and in a situation like that where the lower growth is completely shaded, keep about the top ten inches deep of canopy (at most) and remove everything below that.

Just to add my 10 cents to the mix...

I average 49 days before pistils when I grow autos in hydro.
That's what everyone else missed mate. You're growing in "clay pebbles" so you've got some sort of hydro set up that gives the roots basically unlimited space and access to almost unlimited oxygen.
There's nothing for the roots to hit so they just keep growing and the plants take longer to flower.
Absolutely normal for an auto to take 7 weeks to show sex these days. My profile pic is one of them. 49 days exactly.
My bet is you got impatient and just cost yourself half your yield.
Not Dutch passion or Seedstockers by any chance is it?

I don’t grow autos Barney but all the ones I see look very different from his plant. His looks very photoperiod to me but could be wrong of course.
Not sure how he could yield twice as much in that space. Would you advise he goes back on full length days to flower it?

If it is an auto and it's just been put on 12/12 at the start of bloom then it will be pretty costly. I've done quite a few 12/12 autos in 10l pots and it generally gives 1.5-2.5 Oz as apposed to 3.5-4.5oz on 18/6.
No way to tell now though so best to leave it where it is and hope for the best. 12/12 100% will not flip an auto. Got a couple on just now, one of them went the usual 49 days before pistils. The other popped around day 35 but she's an odd exception.
First 6 weeks on 12/12 then took a week on 18/6 before showing sex.
I very rarely see pistils before day 45. Record is 56 days from bluedreamattic. Probably my favourite ever smoke in 15 years too :)

Just out of curiosity I might actually go for another one of these as I still have some seeds left.

So your advice is not to do anything? No trimming?
What would be your advice for the next time to avoid a dense jungle and no light at the bottom? My two limits are height and width. I can't really afford to have vertical growth for 7-8 weeks and neither can I spread the branches apart to make it wider.
Btw, it's neither. Not Dutch passion nor seedstockers.

My 2c -if it was me I would just trim it out and leave it under 12/12 and see how it goes. It doesn’t look at all like an auto to me, not that I’m any sort of expert on that- but I haven’t noticed any autos that look like yours. Seems to me autos usually tend to have well defined spears radiating from the base without a ton of undergrowth. The buds seem developed fine for what week they're at, plus you have other seeds if it flops. Not sure what else you could do in any case- other than leave it untrimmed because it’s a delicate and sensitive auto. If that’s the case you’ll find out when it causes a bunch of drama I guess.
