Hi everybody.... I did it!!! I did the defoliation on the 3 girls in bloom in the closet. I took before and after pics so ya know there is going to be a few... and what can ya do with all the leaves and such that ya cut off??? My hands were majorly sticky and fragrant and I know there was sugar on a lot of them that was visible to the eye so can ya get decent butter out of it? Any who here we go.....

They certainly fit in their home a heck of a lot better now. I have to admit it was a bit liberating after I got over the initial shock of hurting them......

We used to make oil with our fan/sugar leaves but it takes a bunch to get a decent oil and was kinda a pain in the rear. I don't bother with the fans at least anymore. Now I cut obviously sugar coated stuff directly in a bag to be frozen for oil, hash whatever and the fans go into the burn. Some part of me hates doing it but it was never really worth the effort for me. Especially when there are jars of nugs available.

I've seen you around so many journals recently that when I saw your journal in the lists, I thought I would stop in and take a peek.
I'm Subbed now, your plants are looking great. When I first did a defol on my first grow, I was a little skeptical but it turned out great. I find its good for grows in tighter spaces, because it helps air flow, and your humidity levels.
Looks like you did a great job on your defol.
I'll have to go back a few pages and catch up on your grow.

I have a portable washing machine similar to the Bubble Magic 5 Gallon Mini Washing Machine that I put the trimmings in a mesh bag and place inside the washing machine, I then fill the washing machine with cold water and ice cubes and set it for 2 cycles. I then place my 5 Gallon All Mesh five Bubble bags inside of a 5 gallon pail then drain the washing machine through its discharge hose into the bucket. I then remove each bag one at a time as I drain the liquid from the bag. The trichomes are gathered in the bottom of the bags and are removed in different grades and pressed in a pressing screen to remove excess water. I then take my Large Piranha Aluminum Pollen T-Press and press the hashish into convenient sized disks.

I have seen you around the block too and have lurked a bit on your grow. I can't take a lot of credit for much as I have been blessed with the hand holding of KJC and his knowledge and patience are amazing. I am really hoping you are right about the humidity because it was most certainly starting to be a problem. I had 4 of the chemical dehumidifiers and 1 electric dehumidifier in there and it was still running 80% and higher when the lights went out and the door was closed and I have read on here that it has completely changed for some growers after a defol. It's hard to get it in the pics just how much I cut off those girls but it filled 2 gallon storage bags stuffed and I can't wait to see the bud sites explode now....

A wonderful thing just showed up one day in my mailbox and it was an 8 piece 5 gallon bubble bags and I would be safe to assume they would work in this machine King????....
The Bubble Bags do not go inside the machine, they go inside a 5 gallon pail and the liquid is poured from a discharge hose into the bucket. The Bubble Bags are removed 1 at a time as the liquid drains through each of them concentrating the trichomes in the bottom of the Bubble Bag.

I have a bit of an update on the Clone family 3 in bloom in the tent... They were watered this morning with 2 tsp Big Bloom, 2 tsp Tiger Bloom and 1/8 tsp Beastie Bloom and 1 tsp molasses per gallon of purified water and used 2 gallons total. I am going to let them sit in the tub for a bit then am going to do a bit of defoliation on these girls too..........

I commend you on a journal and job well done. We share a lot of similarities in that we're both older and we both started off on MG in a low budget enviroment and have became much better gardeners along the way. You have progressed much faster than I did in a very short amount of time. Hats off to the guys & gals that helped you. Your ladies look very lovely and I hope to see the final product.
