hey everyone, I know there are a lot of these but figured I would post my grow in case someone notices something I am doing wrong or could do better. this is my first grow ever so still learning but I think have got a good handle on it. since this is my first grow I decided to just grow a bunch of auto seeds since I had them but will be vegging six different pheno strains in another tent to flower once these are done.

What strain is it? candy cane, amnesia haze, early miss autoflowers from crop king seeds

it is in day 8 of veg at this point

Indoor 3x4 grow tent with carbon exhaust and intake fan attached to ac vent

Soil is fox farm ocean forest and happy frog mixed along with some perlite

there are 4x 3 gallon 3x 5 gallon warrior pots

Size of light? 1000w hps/mh, currently have the mh bulb in.

Is it aircooled? yes with duct going to an ac vent

Temp of Room/cab? stays around 85 degrees

RH of Room/cab? around 40-50 with humidifier, around 30 without.

PH of media? got a tester, keep it around 6.5

Any Pests ? not yet, used diatomaceous earth and have neem with insect soap when they are older

How often are you watering? when pot is dry

Type and strength of ferts used? fox farm dirty dozen, none so far though

when I first germinated I didn't have everything I need to plant them in their final pot so I had to put them in solo cups for the first week, I just transferred them yesterday into their final pots so hoping I didn't cause too much stress or delay them too much. here are some pictures of them in their solo cups and my tent and then some right after their transfer.

forgot to mention when I transferred I filled the pots with the soil mixed then watered with ph water until 20% runoff. I let the pots site for about half a day under the lights to warm up. I then topped the pots off with some more soil mix and transferred the plants into it. I then watered lightly around the plants with about a gallon of ph water mixed with 1/4 tsp of boomerang and kangaroots between all of them.

here they are right after waking up today, got my lights at 18/6 with the off time during the day by the way.

What are the white spots on the leaves?

thanks, ill make the popcorn. the white spots are diatomaceous earth. I accidently got some on them when I put it on the soil. once I get my mist spray bottles in the mail I'm hoping some water mist will wash them off.

I worry about spots on such young leaves, I hope it doesn't do any harm. I do know that too much diatomaceous earth can alter the ph in your soil causing a nutrient lockout. I saw it cause a great deal of stress to a fellow grower here, lost most of his crop in the process.

thanks for the heads up. I tried to do a light coating on the top so it wouldn't cause any problems but ill keep an eye on the soil ph just to be safe, I have a soil tester. that foxfarm sledgehammer can help fix lockout right?

wasn't going to post any more pictures for a couple days but seemed like they grew a good amount last night so I took some more pics to throw up so people can see how fast. this is day 9

The girls were lookin purty. This is day 11, took some pics of the best looking and an overview of all. Little hot in the tent today but got it back down from 90 to 85. Still haven't watered yet either, pots still feel a little heavy so was gonna wait a couple days. They don't look thirsty or stressed to me so hopefully all is well.

Candy cane seems like it is growing the best out of the three as well. Not seeing much difference between the 3 gallon and 5 gallon pots though. Probably won't be a noticeable difference until flower though if it does occur.

There looking nice. You won't notice a difference yet but the big pot should produce a bigger flower.

They look quite happy

If you don't have Cal-Mag try and get some. You'll probably need it in a week or two. The Early Miss is a good one. Love the flavor and effect. Hardly needs any nutes. I may have to make room for another lol.

Thanks, I thought that would probably be the case but wasn't sure if the more space for roots would slow down veg growth while it fills it out. I am definitely cool with bigger flowers though.

yeah I had to get all 3 cause I couldn't choose between them. Glad to hear the miss is a good one, haven't seen much about it on here yet.

Heard of calmag but figured the foxfarm dirty dozen would have an equivalent. Does it go good with foxfarm? Was gonna feed 1/4 strength big bloom, boomerang, kangaroots, and microbe brew after my next plain water, maybe around day 18. Was thinking week 3 bump it up to 1/2 strength big bloom, grow big, and boomerang if all goes well with the 1/4 strength. Probably keep at 1/2 strength rest of grow if no signs of burn.

Day 13, they are starting to take off. Already smell so good too. Think I might lst in a couple days when I water with nutes. There's just a AH and EM that seem like a node shorter then the others.
