Was at a local hardware store and came across this in the discount section. Cant beat a bulb for under 2 bucks! I use LED now, but still keep my old lights around just in case. Ive needed them in the past. Normally I ran a 400, bit the ballast is switchable, so I can use this. Never had an issue with these bulbs. Maybe not the best spectrum, but they work just as well IMO. Many of us are on a tight budget nowdays, and can't afford all the latest bells and whistles. I've been throwing around the idea of starting a grow log, kinda documenting how I grow for pennies. Not sure of anyone would be interested. I don't get alot of traffic on here, so thats why I havent done it yet. Anyway, happy growing everybody.

i'd be interested to see how you go about it, i've done some pretty cheap hack grows
Do you have the compatible S50 analogue ballast, or a digi?

Oh boy....now im thinking......lol. The bulb will fit the socket, but im sure my ballast is digital. I thought as long as the socket was correct, it should work. I have a 150 magnetic. Idk I got this just as a spare. I havent used HID in a while.
