DC’s Roaring 20’s Perpetual Garden!

I also grow in Promix HP with MC. You should have good results and I love how cheap they both are. Looking good so far. :thumb:

Those babies must feel like they're living in the Taj Mahal! Nice work on the hash too. :welldone:

They better the spoiled little buggers! Daddy gotta work OT for all this fancy shit!

That hash looks tasty af.

It is. I haven’t smoked hash since like high school, man I don’t even remember. I also just smoked it... so that could be why I don’t remember.... man hash tastes good though.

Agreed, and very simple and straight forward!

This is why I always argue with my wife. Wait til she's asleep. Got it!
:thanks:

Just make sure you don’t forget to clean the evidence after!

Hash looks nice. Ive got a half gallon bag of trim from grow #1, will be ordering screen bag set today...looks as simple as it sounds to make hash. I usually dump my grinder kief tray into a small sqare of parchment, fold up and place in my shoe. By afternoon you have a nice flat piece of nicely pressed hash.

My buddy bought some high end ones locally but I’ve seen them go for under $40 on the zon. Reach out if you have any questions!

Week 2 - Mid Week Update!

Well I have to say these girls are not messing around. I am very happy with how smooth this grow has started and how much they have sprouted! A little experience goes a long way - my plants sure as hell didn’t look like this last grow after 9 days! (7 for lil Blue)Last full feed was on Monday. I let them soak it up and just hit them all with another good feed to runoff last night. I expect some strong growth to follow. Next feeding I will increase the MC 1gram to 3G/gallon right on track.

Vitals
RH - 40 - 50%
Temps - 21 to 26 Celsius
Nutrition - 2g/gallon MC

For the observative bunch my thermopro hygrometer fell in some water and is way off. Contacted the company though and they are sending a new one!

Now then the next question is when is the most ideal time to uppot from a solo cup. I’ve read that when the leaves of the plant reach the edges of the cup it’s time to uppot. I’m going with that until advised otherwise and I’m almost there!

I have them in clear cups as well so root growth can be viewed and it’s coming along well. Ideally I want them to have formed a decent root system to keep the whole medium in tact during the transplant but not too much that growth is slowed due to a lack of real estate to expand. I have 1gallon plastic containers ready for my next size up.

What do you guys think? I’m thinking an Uppot Saturday is in the books this weekend!

I thought roots being exposed to light is not a good thing?
Liking the root formation!

That is true which is why the clear cups are inside red solo cups!

Kicking off Week 3 - Time to Veg!

Hey all, hope everyone is happy and healthy and stocked up on meds for the next few weeks it’s getting crazy out there. I had a productive weekend in the garden so I’ll get into it!

Saturday night we had a couple friends over so I did not get to the transplant and the girls were not happy with me Sunday morning. I think I had pushed the dry cycle a day too far, should’ve bumped the Nutes to 2.5g instead of waiting to go straight to 3g AND they were clearly sick of their solo cup homes.

Trouble at the Taj Mahal?!
I also noticed an issue with the two first leaves on Wonder Woman #2. The old me would have panicked and changed a million variables. But the new and improved 1 grow under my belt me kept calm, watered them all lightly Sunday morning at 3G/gallon and transplanted that evening to prepared 3G/gallon pots. Hopefully it will stop it in it’s tracks.

There are no signs of it on any other plant or even any other leaf on that plant. Anyone have an idea what it might’ve been? Calcium deficiency, or maybe she’s a hungry girl and wanted more nitrogen? I’ve been holding off on the Calmag until I see a need for it. I’m using 9-6-17 Megacrop so I think v3?

Roooots!

The transplants went flawlessly, all had solid rootballs that stayed completely compact and no root loss incurred. As you can see from the first picture a few of them looked to be a little rootbound, others not to bad resembling the second picture below. Watering them lightly at the start of the day had the medium at a perfect consistency by the evening so they slid right out of the cups and into their new homes that I had also prepped by lightly watering and mixing at 3G/gallon megacrop that morning. Once nestled into the pots I lightly watered them in around the rootball and set the light at 34” coming in at 29k lux. I’ll be lowering it a little bit daily once they settle in.

New Digs

Here they are in the new pots, still looking a little sad.

12 hours later this morning happiness returns! I’m hoping to see some booming growth to follow for week 3 now that they have room to stretch their legs!

Sidenote: man do I ever grow squat compact plants it seems. Wonder if it’s the intensity from my TSW2000 even at 30inches during the seedling phase that keeps them from stretching...

Im using tsw2000 and did noticed with 100% power at 30" my autoflower seedling didnt stretch much either....i forget if i moved it up or kept it at 30". I think i focused more on giving them 9-12k lux at seedling stage.

What lux are they at right now? I think at that stage i had them at 25k lux

Mid Week 3 Update

Not much to report or to do. They got a light watering at 3G/gallon MC and I did end up adding 3ml of Calmag. As you’ll see below the suspected calcium deficiency on one plant did get a little worse but I think since they’ve soaked up the freshly restocked Nutes it has stopped in its tracks.

RIP first set of leaves

Top leaves are green as can be and she is still growing. Hopefully by the end of the week she’ll be right as rain! All the other girls are settled into their new homes and reaching up for the light happily! I lowered it a couple inches and plan to continue to until I get a Lux of around 40k based on a chart I have. If I notice them dropping or not looking up at any point I will stop for a few days.

That’s about all other than filling up my humidifier daily and tinkering with my heater to find the best range, I’ve managed to mostly keep temps between 20 and 26 and humidity hovering just over 40% to 50% at lights off.

Yet again I seem to be growing some short plants. Last run I had a hard time watering due to the low nodes I had trained intensively to grow horizontal just above the pot. This time I won’t be topping so early, I’ll wait until nodes 5 and 6 are growing to assess then based on height which two I pick for my quad line.

That’s all folks, stay healthy, stay high!
