I’m on day 40 my cherry cola auto is flowering I see on the web I should have it around 85F and 30-40 humidity but when I set my tent with those numbers my vpd is too high

looks great.

you can run stuff a little lower if you can't hit those numbers. set it where you are comfortable running it. autos don't like to be driven as hard, it should be ok.

That's correct. That's an incredibly high VPD and I would try to change the temp and RH, if possible.

Where did you find that resource? It's a huge outlier and, if followed, would place huge demands on your plant.

Good values Go with 0.8 as a seedling, 1.0 in veg, and 1.2 to 1.4 in flower. Those values will give you very happy plants.

85 and 45 - do you have a way of raising the RH by, say, 20%.

Below is a chart from Pulse, the company that makes grow devices that calculate VPD, among other things. The green band is optimal. The further away you go from optimal, the more difficult it is for your plant to transpire.

When I contacted them about this graphic (actually, its predecessor) I was told that they recommended those light levels because autos are always in flower. Or maybe it was in veg - I don't remember because it was a "because" and had no supporting evidence that the numbers were valid.

If light is the limiting factor, the only thing you're doing by not running your grow at 800-1000±µmol is leaving money on the table.

Check out my grows from 2021 and 2022 for light data for autos. IIRC, I was running them in the 80's for most of the time. Well, one grow I did back down because there was so much weed in the tent, there was just no sense in dealing with the temperature increase. That was my second grow in 2202, I think.

The idea that you need CO2 for 55 mols has no basis in fact.
