Damaged sprout

So I had a purple kush coming above ground with the seed shell still stuck on the top, after 36 hours it was still on there pretty tight so I very carefully pried it off with tweezers.. Found the cotyledon leaves apparently turned mushy and both were detached from the stem. Still see a bit of very center where the first real leaves would appear and the sprout seems to be straightening up towards the light slowly...

Anyone have this happen before? Did she survive/thrive or just end up dying after a few days?

Not exactly like that but close. Don't give up until it's dead. I've had the most unlikeliest sprout survive.
