Cuttings Rapid Growth?

I have a 10 month year old mother plant shes very strong and healthy. Before takeing cuttings i flush her with plain ph balanced water and gives her a good mist up . then i seem to encounter problems with my cuttings they dont seem to thrive and explode as fast as they should doo. When i take the cuttings i cut a 45 angle clean cut with a sharp blade then put the cutting staight into ph balanced water for a few minutes then dip the 45 angle cut into some root it hormone gel then i place the cutting into an already soaked for 24 hours rockwool cube (ph of cube is 6.0-6.2) which then goes into my heated propergator always 100 percent humidity under my 2 ft t5 light. i regulary mist up the propergator and give them some fresh air daily. 80% of the time i get them to root but i have problems with getting them to have rapid veg growth they seem to take along time from a cutting with no roots to a strong healthy plant to put into flower its been around about 5-6 weeks since i took the cuttings and they have roots but they dont seem to be vegging rapidly about5-6 inches tall. my cuttings now are under my 600 watt hps about 4 ft away from the light air flow and tempreture are spot on the strain im growing is afghan kush.

any help guys much appreciated thanks :)

Well,
I just HATE Rockwool! lost a lot of expensive seedlings & have NEVER used them since the 1st try.
take a cube apart & see if the root is wandering around in curls. the cubes are too dense & roots often DONOT penerate down & out !
plus the cubes stay cold w/o bottom heat. when using soil to start seedlings. I grow them up to the 3-4 node devolops. now should have tray full of roots. I that the seedling out & wash off all the soil! place the roots spredout in the 4" net cup & pour Hytron pellets around the bare rootlets , till it will standup. vibrate teh cup top settle the pellets down tightly.
for clones/ cuttings, I strickly use an Aerocloner I built . LOVE it! see rootlets at 12- 14 days
I would put your Light down to 18". keeping it up so high contribites to running & long internodel lengths. Plus, its the inverse square light issue... ie you are not giving the plants teh max light possible. I use a 600 watt in a 3'x8' area. with light mover. (worth it)
a test I read about is place the back of your hand at the plant top & if the light is too hot for the hand , inch it up until its not.
later on when the tricoms are getting well devoloped & the growing phase has stopped ( 2-3 weeks) its all about the resin/ tricomes budding & reaching for light. now you can rise the light way to keep heat off sticky forming buds.
Luck,
Slag
