Cutting the tops of buds

I was doing some searching around on you tube and I came across this guy who had his girls in about 4 to 6 week into flowering, when he said that he clipped the top parts of his buds for a fatter cola result.
From the look of it, it looked like it works. I'm in my 6th week as of today and was thinking about doing that on my next go round, and was wondering if anybody ever tried this method before with success.
If so I would like to know any info on this process, cause I would love to try this out.✌

Light Addict told me about this around a year ago. It works-really makes the buds dense up. I grow in The Sea of Green technique so it's not very practical for me personally. But I can attest that it does work.

Nope, no change in potency & a better flavor. Try especially if you used foliar feedings, don't want to smoke fish fert. haha.

I think cutting the tips of the buds is it for this girl. I did alot to her in such a small space, I don't want to add nothing new.
Washing buds sounds a little extra for me. I'm still new at this, and this is my first. Maybe down the line I might try that but for now all I'm looking for is potency, density and yield.
