Cropping top and cloning for this season outdoor grow

I have two forbidden fruit (not Autoflowering) that went vertically nuts. I super cropped em but the main stem is still pretty long and was wondering if i can top about 6-9 inches off the long main stem, can I plant them for a grow this season? It would all be done outside.

I wanted to put two smaller plants in another pot. Be easy on me, I’m a newb ;)

Hiya @Gee I haven't done any autoflowers or a cut that drastic but shouldnt it just be like a regular top no matter how far down at that age right? Not sure how many shoots you'd get off it but I think thats a doable cut myself. The prob I understand with topping autoflowers is the set time you have before they switch is set so youd have to grow back that 6 inches pretty quick to recoup the yield? I totally thing people still do it, and those plants look pretty young so I bet you'd be fine. Just a thought though, I'm as new as you...

Here's the other thing that comes to mind...why cant you super crop that main stem also?

I'm sure some big pot brain will wander along soon and give us the lowdown on it. I'll look around to see who does autos alot. I cant seem to rmemeber quite too well atm lol! :yahoo:

Hey Gee, you can top them for sure and you’ll have some great clones. Have you ever done cloning before?
Awesome healthy plants you’ve got there! :ganjamon: You should get a grow journal going so we can follow your journey. :high-five::passitleft:

I haven’t cloned before, and am hesitant with such a healthy plant BUT cutting would stop that side growth shooting out so much more needed veg for more coles...

If I did cut for clone would you consider going direct to soil?

I root in soil with just rooting powder it works fine, they just needs care for the first week to 10 days that might happen better inside?
