Crop King Seeds Auto Fem Northern Lights LED Grow

First Grow journal coming at ya!

I'm currently one week from seed with 3 x Crop King AutoFem NL. I'm running these under a Mars II 1200 LED in a 3x3x5' tent with an Vivosun 400CFM inline exhaust. Grow medium is Sunshine Advanced Grow Mix #4 in cloth pots. Have just been watering with pH'd water so far. Will begin some nutes soon as this mix is pretty blank. I'll be running FoxFarm nutes + CalMag.

Hey AFF..I just finished up a few of the cks northern lights autos and they turned out great. I did mine in a coco/perlite mix with fox farm nutes under a couple mars hydro reflector 96x5's..here's a pic of one just before the chop! I'm gonna stick around for your grow, good luck!

Thanks AFF..that girl grew to about 30" or so and I just let her go, no topping or anything done..I've never topped any of my plants but I've only got 3 grows under my belt so far, I have some cks candy cane autos coming up next so I'd like to try some topping and lst. Off that 1 plant I got almost 2 ounces. I have one more northern and an early miss still flowering and the other northern is even bigger than that one in the pic!

Thanks AFF..that girl grew to about 30" or so and I just let her go, no topping or anything done..I've never topped any of my plants but I've only got 3 grows under my belt so far, I have some cks candy cane autos coming up next so I'd like to try some topping and lst. That's a good haul off the 1 plant! What sort of lights are you growing under? This is my first CKS grow, but I've already got more seeds on the way. Going to try and sneak a Jack Herer into this grow if the seeds get here in time!

Hey Sweetleaf,

These are 3 gal pots. I have used them before as well as 5 gal. I've had great success with them. They air prune roots and encourage root growth downward. They also drain very nicely and the handles on them make for easy moving around. I def recommend them!

I think the 3 gal are a great size for autos. I've seen them used a lot. My last grow didn't get quite as dense as I'd like, but that could be the strain. Hoping these NLs get nice and dense. How did yours turn out in terms of density?

Yeah I've been getting pretty good results using the 3 gal pots so I'll probably en up sticking with that, as for the density I've grown only cks strains..early miss, green crack and the northern lights and the northerns have had the biggest most dense buds so far but I'm thinking that could be from the 2nd light I put in? Guess I'll have more of an idea in a few weeks when I start the candy cane!

Day 9 Update.

I have started feeding with 2ml/gal of CalMag. So far so good. I received my Jack Herer auto seeds yesterday and have one germinating now. Will add her to the mix as soon as she's ready. Temps are mid 70s with RH at about 55%

Day 12 Update:

The 3 CKS NL seedlings are looking good - growth is speeding up noticeably. Added FF Big Bloom to the mutes yesterday @ 4TBSP / gal. Will start with Grow Big when they're a little more established.

I have another seed going into the setup today. CKS Jack Herer will be the 4th and final addition to this grow.

Day 14 UPDATE:

The girls are thriving. Growth is coming quick. 2 of 3 are on their 2nd node, one on 3rd. My CKS Jack Herer has been planted and just cracked the soil yesterday.

DAY 16 UPDATE:

Girls continue to do well, growing quickly and appear to be all the same phenom st this point. Seedling has popped and is showing tiny leaves. Just added some turbinado sugar @ 1 TBSP / GAL - first time trying this. Temp is hovering in high 70s/low 80s. Humidity is 45-50% pH'ing all water to 6.3.

Sorry the quality is kinda crappy, taking the shots through my UV glasses for color correction.
