Creating my own set up?

I am interested in making my own Hydro drip system. The theory seems simple...ish.

My idea is to have a header tank....with tubing coming off the snake the roots of the plants. (The tubes to have pin pricks in them to allow drip). Pretty much like an existing design.

Is this feasible...to make from stuff around the house?

i would be doing this manually..not timed? Has anyone tried to do this before?

Having typing issues today.....tubing coming off the header tank...and snaking the base of the plants.
