Cpu Fan

Go ahead and plug that cpu fan directly into a receptacle in your wall then report back and let us know how it worked!:laughtwo:

No for real they run off of 12 volts and besides thru my experience you need enough circulation so that the plants are constantly fluttering, this causes the stalk to become thicker thus having a healthy plant and provides enough fresh air. A cpu fan wont get it. You need something bigger.:coffee:

I'll help you, I have two PC fans wired to a 12v adapter that plugs into the wall, for ventalation in a growbox I made.

This is what I did, make sure you have a DC adapter...

Cut the end of the cord off, whatever would plug into whatever object the adapter would normally power, now seperate the two wires a bit down the middle, and strip the wires about 1/4inch from the end. With your PC fan, take it and cut the end of it off, and seperate the red and black wire, and strip both wires as you did with the adapater.

Done this? Good.

Remember, black on black, red on red. And if you're not sure which wire is which, just try it out. It will only work one way, and if you plug it in and the fans arent powered, then just switch the wires and wa-la! You have a fan running.

I currently have two PC fans running off of one 12v adapater, I just added the extra fan like I added the first one, and I may end up having to add one or two more for my next grow.

Good luck and grow on.
