Controlling Temperature in DS60 Tent

Hope everyone is well!

I am using a DS60 tent with a 250w hps. Have set up a bubble pot and have 2 fans in the tent. Running a TT extractor and getting negative pressure.

The problem I have is the heat being too high. I have tried all sorts with this setup but still getting temps 38oc at 12 inches from top of plant and the lowest reading I can get is 34oc in shade.

I have come to the conclusion that the tent is too small or I need to switch to cool lamp to eliminate the excessive temps from a hps bulb.

What do you amazing peeps suggest?

What am I missing/doing wrong?

i struggled for quite a while to get my temps down and in the end i bought a cool shade and wow what a difference it made once the extractor was connected to it!

my temps were 30-33c and soon as the shade was in 22-26c.

uk £35-75 us $50-100 some shades can be expensive but there worth it!
