Confused on what to do..

Hello,
I'm new at this so please bare with me. I was diagnoised with MS 8 yrs. ago and i have a 2 yr. old daughter. through out the years my pain has gotten worse and been to the hospital numerous of times. I was fired from my job because i could no longer handle it, so i had no choice but to apply for medical in which i had recieved since i had a child. I'm currently waiting to face a judge for my diability.
my question is..because i'm on medical would i be able to find a doctor who is not against medical marijuana even regardless the type of insurance i have?
I had a friend who told me marijuana would help with pain and of course it helped in ways i didn't think it could. Not only did it help with pain but my headaches, stress and When i told my doctors they looked at me crazy. I don't know if they think i just want it to smoke it and nor do i care. i have been smoking it illegally which i'm not so happy about, but i need to do something instead of waiting around for them to come up with something...
i seem to be juged by them instead of them helping me out.
By me facing a judge would the fact about me wanting to use marijuana for pain be an issue?
I'm confused and don't know how to go about his, and i'm getting irritable with my doctors and just the system as well about legalizing something i call help physically and mentally.
I have yet to find a pain medication to help my pain without putting me to sleep instead of helping with pain. I'm tired of being used as a lab rat to try new meds.
Can some please help me out? I'm not dazed and confused...i'm lost and confused LOL!

i would move to wear you can get your medical marijuana, and i would fight for the decriminalization/legalization whenever you are up to it.

You most certainly qualify for a mmj Rx in California. Look in the Forums--find the threads on mmj and you'll find a lot of discussion. There are many clubs in the W. Hollywood area that will help you find a dr. When you have your Rx, you can buy your mmj at those clubs. I believe there is even a delivery service to your city since it's not legal in your county at present time. Also go to MontelWilliams.com and click on the Foundation box down at the bottom. He has suffered with MS for years and has to use it to even walk in the morning. He's a real hero for the cause of mmj and totally outraged by how suffering people are being denied the THOUSAND's of benefits of cannabis. also Carmen, I'd keep quiet about the med mj to any doctors except the one you'll use to gain your recommendation. despite medical degrees some doctors remain blissfully ignorant of the benefits of med mj & they tend to side with the pharmaceutical companies.

with all my med problems i have only 2 doctors, my pain docotor, and my neurologist that approve of my smoking.and told me to move to a legal state. even told me he was pissed about what was going on in california. my heart and head dr.( psychologist?) cannot spell that.. told me that it would be bad. and has nothing good to say about it. and told my primary doctor. who would give no opinion what so ever, just smiles and nods.
so i agree find witch ones approve and do not. the ones that do will be the ones that help. i got this site from my pain doctor. he is the one who gives me injections in the back of my head. told me to come here and find a legal state.

Your current doc doesn't know that MJ helps with MS??? WTF?
The clubs will put you in touch with a doc who knows about MJ, that doc can refer you to a doctor who specializes in MS and also is aware of the benefits of MJ. If I were you, I'd want my regular doctor to be an MS specialist who knows enough about MS to know when marijuana is helpful.

It sounds like you have a journey, from your current doc through a doc who specializes in writting MJ scripts to an MS specialist who knows more about medicine than the DEA does.

Good luck, I'm sorry you've got this legal crap in addition to your other problems.

One thing to consider here is where are you planning to be seen by a MMJ MD. In W. Hollywood there is Pacific Support Services and the reason I mention this in particular is that if the MD doesn't script you, you get a full refund of fee for service...other MD's don't appear to offer that "insurance" if you will. Any recent medical documentation from your regular doctor ie. prescription containers, lab work or something which establishes
you have a qualifying medical problem is generally acceptable & when you call to make an appointment ask about that MD's requirements. I wish you well and hope you find the relief w/ MMJ. See Doctors on the forum section here to find their address. Also, NORML.org for a list of MDs.
