Complete Rookie here - Is this the 4-5 nodes and time to FIM?

I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this... I was looking for the 'ask us anything forum and stumbled over here... I have a grow journal started but haven't figured out how to link it to my signature yet... but it's over there...lol

Anyway, one of the girls am growing is a
White Widow Fem seed...
It's an organic grow, haven't given it any nutes yet but going to start something soon, maybe after week 4.
It's in its second week of Veg...(depending on where you start from) and I have been waiting and half ass watching to see when the 4-5 node showed up so I could FIM her...

Over the past week it has really bushed out... and I didn't quite realize just how bushy... now I'm questioning what node she is at or how I count them?? Is this the 4th and I need to FIM her now?

Hi -- Here's how I count them:
First node is the first "true" leaves.
Second node usually has three-fingered leaves.
Third node usually has five-fingered leaves.
Fourth node usually has seven-fingered leaves.
I'm sure this is all terribly variable, but you get the idea.

More than an absolutely precise count, I think you want a plant that is healthy and has transitioned from seedling to small plant, which it looks like yours has done.

Thanks and I appreciate your comment! I sort of assumed that was the case, I have dabbled in grows a few times over the years... bag seed, start them, throw them outside...amateur stuff..... I have never seen a mj plant grow leaves out where the pistols or sex should be showing quite like this one!

I'm planning on doing a FIM this weekend!

I was much the same way for a long time. It's fascinating to watch the whole process from seed to flower to harvest. Enjoy!

I started thinking this spring about doing a small indoor grow, as I am getting to the age that I didn't want to keep saying to my buddies..."Is this shit any good? and how much??" I wanted to have a bit more control and know how much went into it, and know that it was going to be good and what I was hoping for! This is a great community and the whole growing is so therapeutic! LOL! Cheers and have a look at my grow if you want... I love the comments and questions!
