Companion Planting for Duckfoot

Canis Lupus

Hi,

I'm looking for suggestions as to possible companion plants for duckfoot.

In particular, I'm looking for a flowering plant which is similar in appearance to the buds to cover the last stages of growth when Duckfoot begins to give its real identity away.

The plan is to establish a "garden" of several species similar to duckfoot in some way to obscure the Duckfoot centred amongst it. So, there are a few things I am looking for:

- similar leaves in the initial stages (I'll trim the final stage leaves)
- similar flowers, at least to act as a distraction to a casual observer.
- plant with competing odours to drown out any smell for the hypersensitive nose - perhaps even throw off a sniffer dog (maybe impossible).
- plant which assists in giving the duckfoot nutrition, like a wattle serves a gum tree in trapping nitrogen from the air, transferring into the ground for the gum to use.

Any suggestions would be appreciated - ideas etc.

Nettles are good visual camouflage.
Aniseed confuses dogs' noses. Fennel might work too and is quite tall.

There's a post from LittleCat on companion planting - he/she might know.

Thanks. Much appreciated. Found a shrub with similar leaves at my local nursery which should also help.
