co2 setup questions about my room size

Hello:

I am contemplating useing co2 for my room now. With my dehumidifier running continusly trying to keep up with the rain outside I think it would pay for itself in just energy saveing let alone yeald of crops.:thanks:

I have a 14 x 8 room for flowering and vegging. My veg cabnet is in the same room and is ventilated within the flower room. I have all the cracks in the doors sealed and the room is pretty close to air tight....I would say 85% tight. OK...I have a air conditioner small one that is wall mounted but does not suck out any air or pump any in. My 1000 watt light is cooled with ducts and is comming from outside the room and is vented outside. I have a carbon scrubber that goes out the roof. My intake is fresh air from outside.

Now heres my question....can I just turn off my exhaust and put it on a timer or sensor so it comes on occationally ( I am assuming the room needs air replaced sometimes but I could be wrong on this. Should I configure my air scrubber to recirculate in the room to clean the air? Is this right? Is there a good thread showing me how to do all this.....

Could someone who has experiance let me know if I am thinking this through correctly? I understand I will need a controller and tank. I already have a solonoid controlled regulator valve from my reef tank aquarium days from my calcium reactor.

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

You've basically have got it. Close off your vent. You can run your scrubber inside to keep things fresh. Make absolutely sure there are no leaks in your lights and ductwork. A big fan will suck out a lot of co2 through a leak.

You do not need to exchange the air at any time.

Things to watch for are humidity and temp swings when your lights go out. Your dehumidifier will need to have the capacity to keep things in check and will add enough heat to your room to make your AC run. Finding a balance between these two can be tricky.
