CO2 & Exhaust Fan Timer Advice

Hi Folks,
I am looking for a reasonably priced CO2/EXHAUST FAN TIMER. I am looking to go 30 minutes on/off for 12 hours CO2 with the exhaust fan turning on when the CO2 off and vice versa.
Namaste

Thanks for the reply Tyson. The grow room is 13’x8’x6’high. Yes, will be using a tank and regulator. See pics. We just have a small tent for clones and the rest of the room is for either veg or flower. The regulator comes with a timer and I have another timer on order for the exhaust fan. We were using a co2 bottle with sugar and yeast. It works ok, but we would prefer to have something more automated. Thanks for your help, much apprecaited.

There are calculators available across the interwebs that will show you what you need you regulator set at and how long to activate the solenoid for based on your room size and desired co2 level. Of course any time your vent fan runs it will dump a bunch of it out.

It depends on the ambient co2 concentration of your grow area. With an unsealed room, and a low ambient co2 concentration, you will blow through co2 or exhaust most of it. I would start at around 1-2 LPM on the regulator for 5 second durations every 15 min. Without some sort of co2 monitor it will be hard for you to see if you need to adjust. Co2 is one of those things that's needs to be done right otherwise it's literally a waste and I find with just a timer, you're flying blind. Everybody's situation is different and co2 concentrations too high can be detrimental.

Thanks Tyson - we do have a CO2 monitor that was purchased when we were using a bagged CO2 product. We will follow your advice once the fan timer arrives. In the meantime, I will fab or find a 5 foot diameter ring for the dispensing “rain” ring. Thanks again.
