Palisade, Colo. - Palisade residents were presented with hours of competing information during a community meeting Thursday night regarding the pros and con of recreational marijuana.
In November, Palisade residents will vote on whether or not they want retail marijuana in their town.
The goal of Thursday's meeting was to hear from professionals and residents as they spoke about both sides of the issue.
Speakers included marijuana shop owners from the towns of Parachute and Silt, as well as law enforcement officers.
Recreational marijuana was on Palisade's ballot in 2014 and failed by just a few votes - years later the town still sounds divided.
Thursday night each speaker was given a 10 minute time-slot. A moderator facilitated the meeting and recorded questions residents had that could not be answered.
