hi im in a tight spot so i decided to use regular potting soil as a medium is this alltight for my clones?

I have heard of it, but don't know anything about it. . . but if its a rooting hormone, then thats what you should use next time you take some cuttings. . .

Soil is an ALRIGHT medium, but not the best for clones. Save yourself the trouble and get some rockwool cubes and some clonex brand rooting hormone. The problem with cloning directly into soil without rooting hormome is that it may take forever if at all to take root. Dont get me wrong it will work because ive done it on many occasions but its not garaunteed to take root and grow.

Hi there, I haven't cloned one of my plants, yet (but plan to in a few days = 1st time, too!), but found some "Peat Pellets" at local 99c Store - 20 in a pack . . . got 2 or 3 packs! These are great for starting seeds in a plastic cup, then transplanting it into a pot with soil. In cloning, I plan to use a Peat Pellet & rooting hormone - from a garden shop - that cost me only about $3-$4.! Hope this info. may help! =Judy=

regular potting soil is just fine for rooting clones. the rooting hormone will help a lot. Be sure to use a humidity tent or dome for the first week, then as soon as you have some new growth or roots pull the dome off.
