Cloning during bloom?

Hi guys just wondering if anyone's ever tried taking clones when in full bloom, does it work?
Got 2 phenos of amnesia haze and one of them I've decided I'd like to keep.
I took some cuttings last night , now I know how to do veg cuts but what do I do with these For best chance of survival? Do I pick the buds off or leave them on? Bit of a noob question but hey ho lol.

Sure you can. Depending how long they're in flower will determine how long it takes to flip and root them. I've seen it done. Don't mess with the bud forming. Just take the cut and treat it like any other clone. Me personally, I don't trim any leaves when making clones. YMMV

Good luck. If you need to save some genetics it's a way to do it.....

I used to take clones from week 3 of flower when i usually trim them up for the last time, you can create some monster plants from pre-flowered clones, some of my biggest yielding plants were clones from flowering cuts :).

Yeah I don't twat about trimming the leaves or that iether. Just chop the top off, gel it and stick it in a cube. It works.
Glad to know it can be done in bloom too though guys. Thanks for that. Really want 1 of em to survive, not had buds like this before. Developing real fast and much fatter than usual.
Started a wee nursery in the cupboard so gonna clone everything now just incase.

The trick is keeping the cutting alive long enough to give it 5-7 days to flip back to veg and then to grow roots. As far as cloning goes, cloning from flower is a long process. Definitely chopping half of each leaf to stop transpiration is key. Keeping them moist and not moldy is the other key. This is why in this situation, a bubble cloner is going to have a whole lot more success and I invite you to check out this quick project that could spell the difference between failure and success in this endeavor.
