Cleaning new grinder

st bought a new cosmic Grinder today for $75.. I don't like cleaning with alcohol . I took bottled water and cleaned my new Grinder because you are suppose to due to the fact there may be residue from the manufacture making of it. Can you clean your grinder with just water and a brush instead of using alcohol and air or blow dry

If I use boiling water maybe but just look warm it doesn't get off.

i also have a home made product i use which encompasses the basic ingredients of most cleaners.
