A court hearing has been scheduled for Thursday as the city of Gilroy tries to shutdown a medical marijuana dispensary there.
If the judge grants the city's request to obtain a summary judgment, the Medi-Leaf dispensary on First Street will have to close its doors.
The medical cannabis club opened November 9th without a business license after the city council rejected an ordinance to regulate such operations.
Medi-Leaf representatives say they don't need a business license because they are a non-profit.
City officials claim the cannabis club is operating in violation of zoning
