Chinnubie's 2 Feminized White Widow

So here goes another adventure into keeping plants alive to succeed and thrive. I've built a small closet in the basement roughly 3'x4'x7'. Ran an outlet for easy access to electricity, plus found out this closet will be running on it's own 30 amp circuit breaker. That's a biggie for me, since I don't want to burn down our new house. Already ran 2 plants through 8 weeks of 12/12 and they came back sticky. Want to put this grow through the journal process plus see what's going on out there in Cannabis Land.

2-5 gallon Home depot buckets with potting mix from the local nursery along with some perlite & a cup of dolomite lime in each bucket.

2-150 Watt HPS lights. 1 inline fan for heat and smell removal. 2 small fans for airflow.

Temp has been ranging from 68 at night to 79 during the day. Humidity from 31% to 48%.

I would love to add additional Co2, but don't have the resources to switch over to justify the money. I'm of the mindset to do it right the first time, especially when you know what will happen trying to half-ass it. Needless to say, it's one of those deals where I'll just have to wait when I'm in a better position to pull the trigger.

Have to figure out the pic situation, when I do, I'll have the little girls up for folks to see.

So I wanted to put a pic of the main cola from a white widow plant I grew from seed that came from ---------------------.com. I've had about a 50/50 success rate with their seeds and this plant was on the good 50. Anyway, not going back to them after this current grow and will go with what I know is quality at Crop King. Nuf said here's the pic of that cola, if anyone sees this honestly, tell me what you think.

Starting to figure out how to use the laptop/personal computer/phone to get some photos of the new girls up to start this labor of love. Again, the genetics may be a little crazy but so far so good. Temps been staying mid 70's reaching 78 or 79 depending on how far the door's left open. Generally, 77 has been the rule of thumb and humidity has remained stable 30-40, but will go up after watering to around 50. Here's the pics around 10 days.

So there has been growth from one degree or another. Got one going gangbusters but the other plant can't seem to get going real well. After watering and checking the PH I realized they aren't getting the proper amount of nitrogen because the PH was to high at 7.2-7.4. I've lowered the PH and after watering today the PH is at 7.0-7.1 good enough for them to both take up the vast majority of nutrient especially nitrogen. I hate it when they start turning a light-green color. Anyway here are some recent pics after fimming the big plant. Gonna attempt a little training on the bigger plant.

Here are some pics of the plants after roughly 20 days.
I'm naming this plant Trump-strong growth, knows what it wants, goes and gets it.

This plants gonna be Jeb-slow at uptake.

Here are a couple of nuggets from the prior grow that was successful to the degree it's awesome cannabis and could be put against anything on the street right now. This was my proudest grow so far and hopefully not the last. Of anything folks do, keeping the PH at correct levels is THE most important job in cannabis growing. Doesn't matter what kind of nutrients being used, it all comes down to, if the plant can take it up. Seems to be common-sense, but some can't see their hand in front of their face in broad daylight and on previous
occasions, I've been guilty of these same offenses.

Can't seem to get the current crop going very well. The one plant started out like gangbusters but is showing signs of deficiency but the pot's PH is 7 but the plants are not taking up nutrient. I'm just gonna water next time so hopefully they don't die by then.

Good news they have seemingly gottten over what ever it was that ailed them. Trump's doing really good after the FIM and it looks like there's 6-8 stems that have sprouted on top. Have to wait and see how well they develop. Jeb's still having a rough time but appears to have overcome what had impeded it from growing. Interesting to see how quickly they recover once they get straightened out. Trump's got 2 top leaves that were beginning to yellow at the edges as well as curling a bit, but the PH straightened out and off they have been going since. It was a hiccup for Trump, but Jeb took it much harder and will be about 7-10 days behind for the rest of the grow. You'll see the difference in the pics. Hard to believe they sprouted at the exact same time.
Trump: Realized the situation on the ground and was able to thrive.

Jeb: Slow on the uptake, but will always be behind.

I'm still amazed at how in equal settings these seedlings grew very differently. Jeb's finally taking off, so I FIMMED her this morning thinking she could take the trim, plus give the node branches time to even out.

Trump's going really well similar to the reality on the ground, she just keeps getting stronger and stronger. Gonna get some premo bud out of that plant. Also, gonna take a shot at cloning Trump because her characteristics are what's needed for my novice abilities. Strong growing capabilities with a moron at the helm doing as little as possible to get in her way.

The genetics in these seeds are truely pathetic, these plants are always doing the wrong thing when I do the right thing. I was able to get both of them to flower stage and just started the 12/12 cycle 2 days ago. Both are showing calyxes so they are female, yeah!, because I can't be so sure with these seeds. Anyway, the big girl was really droopy and fairly dry so hopefully a feeding will do the trick. The smaller plant is still fairly wet but she's starting to get bigger everyday.

Hope all is well in your world.

Is this grow still alive?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info.

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

If you need any help with posting photos, please read our Photo Gallery Tutorial.

I am moving this to Abandoned Journals until we get updates.
