Cheap MH 1000w digital ballast!

Re: Cheap MH 1000w digital ballast!!

It will only do MH bulbs. With an attached ballast you may have a tough time keeping temps in check. Also a magnetic ballast is not as efficient as an electronic one. For not much more you can get a switchable electronic ballast that will run either an MH or HPS bulb.

read it closer....it is DIGITAL ,not magnetic. And It IS switchable from MH to HPS.

Ahhhh....OK, calm now........ I was looking for about what it suggests..about an 8ft by 8ft area. I am not concernd about heat, this 8x8 will be in another building that is 1400 sq ft. and 15 ft tall.....I am more worried about getting the heat up to a constant 80 degrees or so. Its cold over the winters here. I have ALOT of space, and I will have to run diesel heaters to keep in warm in there.:smokin:

Lol,
It might be cheaper in the long run to insulate the 8x8 and maybe add a small electric heater, 80 degrees is slightly to high imo, my room was around 80 degrees which led to heat stress/leaf curl.
Im sure you can pick up large foam insulation sheets cheap enough if your in the UK check out B&Q, what strain are you planing to grow m8 ??:peace:

Going to try White Widow this time round.....thanks for the suggestion....that would prob be alot easier on me wallet!:slide: I guess I could enclose the 10x10 area with stud walls in a corner of the building to conserve heat. So,....back to my original question.....Is this a good light, or do you have a better suggestion???
