cheap hps where?

Are you sure you want to use insidesun???
That guy not only get banned from overgrow but also
kicked off ebay for burning people.
This was a couple of years ago don't know if he
cleaned up his act or not since then.
Do some research and ask people.
 
insidesun is great, I recently got 2 of there 400 watt systems, with conversion bulbs and shipping for a little under $300, quick delivery as well.
 
i got my 430 watt hps and my 400 watt hps from him, no problems at all, im sure if i buy more i will go with him again
 
I just purchased stuff from this guy under the reccomendation of many people here. My story is still unfolding so I'm not going to say anything bad, but . . .

Yes shipping was fast. The cheap unit I got was used and showed a bit, but it was cheap and worked. When the package arrived the bottom was a little open and it noticed that there were two items missing. I contacted the company and he resonded within 24 hours. At that time he told me one of the items was on backorder and he would have to refund me. Was he going to tell me if I didn't ask? There was no note or any correspondence at all about that. So that explained one item, haven't seen the refund but waiting patiently. I had to ask again about the other item again, all I was told was that it was for sure packed in the box. I double checked, told him I couldn't find it, asked him how to go about filing a claim. It's been four days and haven't heard back from him. In the mean time I contacted the carrier about filing a claim, told me the shipper has to do it. So I forwarded that to insidesun this morning, we'll see what happens. The real pisser is that the total of the two items in question is about $20. I would hate to think that I am getting fucked around for that, and I will let you know if I do.
 
yeah the ballast i got seemed dirty and used so did the metal dealy it was all scratched up. but the bulbs were sweet.
 
Don't get me wrong, I like cheap, don't mind scratched. Cheap is good so long as it works, which mine did. I'm just taking a stab at the customer service, that will make the difference in me being a repeat customer.

ballast is about the size of of a 400 watt MH bulb box weighs about 2 lbs. long cords to and from ballast ///

good about service had prob w/ph meter under warranty straight up on phone were waiting for more probably end of week and had replacement with in 10 days and they didn't have it in stock when i called them and sent in old !!!!

Well insidesun came through for me. I got an email saying that he was going to refund the money for both the missing item and the backordered item.

So my two cents would be that despite a sometimes slow respones with emails, insidesun has got great prices and lighting fast shipping.
 
My guy doesn't have as good of a selection but the shit is always new and he has awesome prices. The owners name is Brian Ruben and he's a hydro geek. This guy also honors his warranties.Just it out, you might be surprized plus he has the best price on mylar.

I ordered from there june 19 and he shipped my stuff a week later, think he forgot to ship it. DHL was lighting fast though and got it to my doorstep from his in actually less than 24hours, I tracked it on website. I tried cleaning ballast as good as i could cause buncha styrophoam was in box to protect it, nice protection. My ballast was ugly and burnt looking on bottom, but hey it was 100 bucks and reflector and bulb were sweet. I turned it on and the ballast blew about 5 seconds after making a crackling sound that was getting louder, then the lights went out hehe. I pulled it out and it smelled burned and cord was melted on end. So I emailed him and he said he would send me a brand new one right away, so i said thats fine. Point is I still don't have one today : ( Anyone else have bad customer service here? Prices are awsome, but personall havent had a good experience at all.
