Has anyone tried using a ceiling type exhaust fan through a tent port? I'm thinking about using one as an intake. Any thoughts?

You can get just about anything. This is a 4" flange, 16 Watt & 1.58 Cubic Meters per MinuteI dont see why not. You are just moving air. What is it rated for for airflow?
Thanks goofyfoot, it seemed like a good way to manage space and easy to attach with Velcro. Some of these are very quiet and it will eliminate another inline or duct fan. I use a good 6” to exhaust with a filter, it pulls passively. I think I will want a forced intake once I run photos. Now, with the autos I can keep the lower square vents open and not worry about light intrusion. I will give it a try. They work fine and just for estimates if your tent is 5ft X 5ft X 9ft tall. That comes to 225 cubic feet which is 6.3 cubic meters. So depending on which direction you hook it up it will exchange the volume of air in the tent every 10 minutes.
Any HomeD or hardware store you can find adaptors if your opening is 6 inches down to 4 inch and they come in handy if you are looking to drop the temp inside your tent by pulling outside air in.
This will calculate the sq./ft.
