Canuk Seeds Comparative Grow

I haven’t insisted that you did anything wrong and was only trying to be helpful. But I understand the frustration and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for your success. Good luck n happy growing. CL🍀. :goodluck: Edit: I will stop any advice n following.
I wasn't aiming this at you. I have covered my process here and in retrospect I should have just shut up and kept it private. I'm fed up with people telling me I don't know wtf I am doing! That was not you! Please don't take this personally.
The root tail should be white. Those appear to be dark in color which is a sign of root rot caused by overwatering. That can be very difficult to recover from on a much larger plant which requires removal of all damaged roots and applying a h2o2 solution,
I agree with @DeltaDubie , check h2o2 concentration.
There is no root rot. The tails are coming out black. That is their colour. I don't usually use H202 at all. I usually put seeds into wet paper towel and one or two days later they have a tail and can go into soil. This time I used H202 when there was zero action. I used the concentration advised in the scientific study. I am happy with my process. I am unhappy with the viability of the seeds themselves.
Sorry you've had so much trouble @Carmen Ray I was really looking forward to your grow!
Thanks so much. Me too. I have planted the two with the tails in some soil with myco 🤞

i was being sarcastic about the h2o2 .. just use plain water.. simple

big update... plants have and still are growing.. roots are ready to be transplanted to the 7 gallon smart pots..
should be done in a day or 2 need to pick up a new 107 liter bag of hp pro mix..

one way to tell your roots ready for transplant , is when watering the water doesnt run out much unless u put in a tonn..
these babies are holding back the water now..

hoping my grandaddy bruce is potent like my canuk do si dos

Here is some helpful information for anyone that has had trouble with germination.
This information is also from a 420 magazine sponsor.

*without h2o2*
I like to use a little peroxide and also scuff lightly with fine grit sandpaper before soaking. Just what works best for me. CL🍀

Dunno -statistically guessing I've popped more seeds in the last ten days than 90% the people here have in their whole lives. I use H2o2 out my swimming pool every time and bat at 85%+ average as evidenced in photos, videos and a bunch of stuff.

What works for me in the tropics, or what works for the way more temperate Africa? Don't care where you live - stop everyone saying your way is the highway, please? Canada is different to Boston is different to Miami to LA to Stockholm.

I’m seeing really experienced growers having issues popping them using their tried and tested methods. Suggests to me its not the members’ fault.

My method is basically that of an OG Elite breeder, Hall of Famer called Simon from Serious Seeds. H2O2 if you can soak for an hour or two, then to paper and ziploks hung vertically so once a day you can swing them up and let the moisture that pools at the bottom run up and re soak the paper. Here we get 1” tail after 48 hours, that’s likely cause the 30c 75% Rh 365 environment. We also never put them in the fridge nor pop them immediately after they arrive if by airmail.

That’s our way and popped literally 100’s this year.

Some of the seed popping suggestions here seem to verge on “you’re doing it wrong” That’s pretty judgemental and getting tedious. Perhaps a bit more “this is what works for me” rather than being prescriptive.

For me - think Canuk have run out of time. Over two months since they posted them and not arrived so I bought some OG Kush off someone else for the journal I started for the grow (get a kilo out a 4x4 with a $150 light in solos)

But the seeds ever arrive I’ll circle back here and post my popping results. BUT - its what works for us. I would never presuppose that someone somewhere else in the world knows better.
