I got 1.9 oz. of sugary trim off the two White Widows. It's compacted and headed for the freezer.

The Buddha plant gave me 4.8 oz. of dried buds, not a whole lot of popcorn either.

The trim is always used for cannabutter. Albeit, sometimes I decarb for edibles when cooking. I haven't done that in a while due to not being able to grow for so long. I am now back in the game! The stems nearest the buds are used for infusing cooking oils.

Lil' purp is going to get topped as soon as she has enough nodes on her or gets a little taller. My next auto's will get some training on them as well.

I have all of the larger fan leaves chopped off and have begun a little trimming. I will need to finish it up this evening when I get home form work.

Nice haul Sista, how long did you dry the trim before freezing them? :Love:

4.8oz is a little over 2 months worth of oil, congratulations. :adore:

Thanks everybody, and MagicJim..what a sweet thing to say. She is pretty. I can't wait to see the buds when they are completely trimmed up.

Brother dear,
the trim has been drying since the plants were chopped, in a closet. It was quite dry and "crispy", so I thought it safe to get it frozen up. How long do you dry your own trim? :)

Was going to make some cannabutter this weekend, but I found that my freezer has no butter in it. I am forced to do some grocery shopping. Blech! LOL

The Top Gal reveg clones are responding well to the training.One of them is going crazy, the other a little slower. There are still lots of wonky reveg leaves in the centers, but they are growing out. I've also been doing light pruning of bigger leaves to allow light on the branches being trained out to the sides.

For those who are unfamiliar with Top Gal, here's the rundown:

Found plants growing in the woods this spring. The result of some seeds in plant soil that had been dumped there during the winter, I suspected.

I dug them up from the woods and re-planted them all outside in a different area. I deducted that they were seeds from Master Kush x White Widow plants.

Wind storm broke the top clean off one of the plants. I rooted it, and planted it..and named her "Top Gal" because she was the top of the plant that got separated.

Top gal was harvested, but I took some flowering clones off of her before the chop day.

So, now, I'm wondering, what happens if you freeze the trim when you cut it off and don't let it dry out first at all? I just froze a bunch that I had to cut off, but I didn't let it dry first.

Hi growchick. :)

This is the first time I've frozen trim for later use. I have done it with buds for later use in RSO, and you have to let it dry/cure before you freeze it to get the moisture out of it.

I think, (and please correct me if I'm wrong here folks) if you are not going to use it for hash, or RSO it's okay to freeze it fresh. Although there are a lot of growers on the net who don't recommend freezing at all, I know many here who do it without concern.
This is going to be used for butter.

I'm going to ask another grower here that I know does a lot of freezing and see what her thoughts are on it as well. :)

I'm going to use my leaves in those filter bags - they call it bubble hash, I think? They say to be frozen and put them in ice water in the bags when you beat them to knock trichomes off. I hope it's ok to freeze them fresh LOL

I just realized you found plants in the woods and brought them home to love and nurture. In the woods. Lost and alone. IN THE WOODS!! I want to find random pot plants in my 'hood ROFLMAO. #jealous

I've always read that you want fresh trim for Bubble hash when you freeze it. The water/moisture in the trim turns to ice crystals that help to knock those trichomes off was the reasoning.

If you use it in Cannabis Concentrated Oil, that water/moisture goes to spattering and it takes longer to cook it down. Basically...

Again, opinions and suggestions are welcome gang! I'm new to the freezing thing. :)

Cajuncelt called them "Wildlings". Hence, that part of my grow journal title.....:thumb:

I had a friend in the past whose house burned down to the ground. Luckily, everyone got out in time. A few weeks after the fire, it rained quite heavily. A few weeks after that, what used to be the living room floor was covered in little marijuana plants.

If time allows, I'll be finishing up the buds on the Afghan Kush and also get some natural lighting shots.

Funny: I didn't put my gloves on when I started the trimming....didn't even thing about it until I went to lift my coffee cup. It went to the mouth just fine. It's when I tried to set it back down and take my hand away......fingers stuck to the handle ......coffee went everywhere.

I've placed extra clones out in the woods and had them disappear - I think it's rabbits (although I've never seen rabbits in these woods.)

It could be squirrels, as I have seen squirrels dig up 2 inch peat pots in a planter.

It could be deer, they are very flighty, which always makes me wonder what they are up to.

Humans are unlikely, between the swamps and the brambles, I have only seen a dog once. The only evidence of humans is chopped saplings on the riverbank. Those were probably transients in kayaks.

As you may have suspected, I smoked 1/4 bowl of yesterday's oven dried popcorn. Unlabeled breeder free seed Janice is acting as skunky as she smelled and looked. Assisting me in rambling talk :) Sadly, she avoided cloning (also like my Hawaiian Skunk) so the one little plant was all we got.

Your WW x MK is beautiful ... and NOTa little plant :goodjob::thumb:
