Cannabis Training University and THC University

I am curious as to if either, or both, of these online schools are for real. And if they are which one is the best? I am deaf, so I am aware that CTU's videos are CC...and their curriculum seems to include everything for one price...but THCU looks good too. So, has anyone here taken courses from either one? I have done research...but I find word of mouth about such things to be a bit more reliable because they aren't getting paid to try to recruit people. ;)

Wow...I take it no one on here has taken either course or even heard of these places?

Here is my problem with those. Since this is a relatively new field, technology is going to change quickly. Their curriculum will never be able to keep up.

It takes time to create a curriculum, and by the time it's updated, it is out of date.

You will find just as much information here, and actually, see some innovation (Cobb wrapping and such). No one is going to give you that kind of information in a course.

All of this does depend on where you want to go though. If you want to work in the cannabis field, the course may give you some work "credibility".

I personally haven't heard of them, but I also don't look for that kind of thing. The forums were good enough to get me on the right path, and the people here usually keep steering me right.

Plus, free is good. I mean there is a time investment.

Oh I agree, free is definitely good. I would like to work in the field, and since we are looking to relocate to where the ganja is legal...the main reason for my asking was whether or not investing in a course would give me some credibility. I found both places via Crop King's Trusted Partner's page.

Yeah, any kind of training in a field you want to go into, will give you credibility. I would think that field is pretty heavy in competition, so any advantage you can have over someone else will help.

This is all my opinion..... but is typical for most industries.

Just the cannabis industry is loaded with people trying to get in.

Well, then I guess my next step is scraping the funds together for the course. At around $350 for the course from CTU you can see why I wanted to get some good advice first. As we are low budget/fixed income folks just scraping by anyway...I wanted to make sure that this wouldn't be a waste of time. Thanks!

Having personal experience you can prove (from here), also helps. But any kind of verifiable experience is a good thing (training, courses, degrees, etc.)

Keep a journal here. Show your work. All of this helps when trying to get into a high competition industry like cannabis is at this moment. But you must be able to show, the work you posted here is yours. You would have to prove you can log into the account.

Some of that will not help (journals here), depending on the position you are applying for.

Cannabis Training University is very real and legit. They have trained more than 70,000 students with their online cannabis courses. It has much more information and usefulness in the industry when compared to THC University. CTU is hands down for better than THCU. Not even close. I took both and its a very huge distance between the quality of the cannabis education and it helping you get in the door with a cannabis job. CTU is night and day superior.
