Cannabis strain for productivity and motivation, which one?

I am on my second grow but I realized that they are all indica or indica-dominant strains. As I have better experience now I would like to try sativa (mostly for personal consumption, I like smoking occasionally but indica doesn't really help on my motivation, and I need lot of that).

Can anyone recommend me a strain that you've gotten good experience with, so that I won't have to down a bunch of adderall and modafinil next year .

If you want to grow some smaller plants,Lowryder#2 auto fills the sativa bill nicely.

Orange Bud (Dutch Passion), Orange Hill Special (Dutch Passion), Californian Orange (Dutch Passion). It was originally a sativa called California Orange I think but it's a big plant. If you want happy and energetic that's it or one of the original skunks like Super Skunk or Skunk No.1 Even the first 3 I mention have skunk in but are citrus flavoured. They are all well-established strains and the Orange Hill is a cross between Orange Bud and Californian Orange. Personally, I'd go for Orange Hill Special out of those.

If you want to be creative and a energyboost then i recommend:
Durban poison and Green Crack
Youll want to mow the lawn ,paint the house and then. Still have energy to play around with the wife/husband!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the good recommendation guys. I hopped the train to Amsterdam and got some Durban Poison, Green Crack and Jack Herer. Couldn't find any Orange Hill Special though. I'll test them later in the weekends and decide.

P/S: the hulkberry and Amnesia Haze knocked the soul out of me the last time I smoked with my brother, so those are off the list for sure.

I second the Durban, I'm about to put down a CBD Durban for a different twist , cbd crack I may try as well. My head can't take the super high thc so I like the cbd blends so my brain don't completely melt. Haha
You can prepare a CDB vape pen during your sessions. Those help you sober up real quick.

I'm actually growing cd-1 right now it's good for that as well. I don't mind getting wrecked , I'm just one of the unfortunate few that has severe memory issues with thc for weeks after the fact so I limit the good stuff for special occasions. The cbd helps balance that out so I don't turn to a complete zombie for weeks later. Maybe just smoked way too much years ago and the CBD helps keep the last few wires in place. Hahaha. Oh and blue dream is another that don't wreck your tree as bad either. I have a cbd variant of that on its way as well. :) cheers

Jack is fantastic for being happy and getting stuff done. Some will keep you energized but shuts off your brain. Jack seems to keep things going very nicely.

I'm intrigued. What kind of memory issue do you have with THC? I stumbled on this weed-fry-your-brain argument so many times but I'm still struggling to find a counter for it, as researches about marijuanna are either bias or methodologically flawed

You're intrigued? You've must have lived a sheltered life. Hard-core stoners, such as I was, have plenty of self-evident short-term memory problems. I like cannabis but I don't delude myself that prolonged/excessive use is not without long-term consequences.

Haha don't be too harsh on me. I usually vape and consume a moderate amount of 0,1 gr dry herb each time. Enough for me to feel the buzz. I've never get too stoned that cause memory loss, and same goes for a few Canadian kids in the campus ( Hell they rip their bongs like crazy). Of course I understand that excessive consumption of ANYTHING has consequences. I just want to hear from ones who have experience and not from people who never smoke a joint in their life but soooooo proactively fight against it.

Definitely brings on short term memory loss. I have been smoking going on 45 years now. I can vividly remember things from thirty years ago but ask me what I did three days ago and I will stumble for a bit. Even taking long breaks for toking will make little or no difference. I keep lots of notations at work to keep me pointed forward. haha

Same they are explaining however a bit More extreme . If I smoke more then a few times a week on a mid to high range thc I will loose extreme amount of vocabulary. Can't form sentences. And it takes several weeks to fully clear up. I'm only 45. I need to be able to speak professionally for work. . If I was retired I would not give a crap. I turn into one of those super baked stoners you see in the movies back in the day. Being perma fried for about 2 years will do that to you. Bet it took almost 2 years not smoking anything just to become partially normal. Being tired makes it worse. May have something else going on and pot just makes it worse.

Intereresting. Thank you for the reply.

So I've been asking around for the reason why some stoners can still effectively retain their memory function, and some don't. Probably it could be explained in this article:
Error - Cookies Turned Off

To sum it up from this paper, it is a rare substance called alpha-pipene that can complement and somewhat negate the negative effect of THC on the brain.

We know up until now that cannabis can contain a vast variety of terpenes that contribute to strain-distinctive effects. Probably some people who didn't get affected with memory dysfunction smoke weed with lower THC content and somewhat higher alpha-pipene.

I've known more than a few people who can't remember for shit and haven't puffed a lick of smoke...just sayin. Might be some other factors involved, don't just automatically blame the weed!

With that said I certainly don't propport to having fantastic results memory wise on it. It's situational for me. Show me a song on the bass (which I've played 40+ years) and I'll have down in 2 minutes. I can practice a song on keyboard (3 yrs actively) all day long, if I'm stoned when learning it I might as well plan on learning it again to tomorrow! I can get it but it takes 20 times longer. Lot of it is because I suck at keyboard but the lack of retention thing is certainly there.
