After decarboxilating cannibus buds prior to jelly making - combing existing Jellies with coconut oil. I then infused the cannabis in the oil at 102°C for an hour. Won't this do the decarboxilating at the same time and save step 1

Welcome to 420 Magazine my friend :welcome:
To decarb cannabis properly it must be heated 240f for a minimum of 30 minutes.
102 isn’t hot enough.
It’s worth doing it properly or it won’t work. :Namaste:

Thanks for that. I'm still feeling my way with this. Do you think the infusing into coco oil for an hour would also decarb at same time or do l need both processes?
I steam mine in the oven for 30/45 minutes at 240 f. then I put it in a crockpot.
I add a little water and a couple liters of coconut oil and warm it for 8 hours minimum sometimes 24 if I have time.
Then I filter out the cannabis.
Some use cheese cloth.
I put the pot in a wine making mesh bag then lift it out.
I put it in a container to cool it the fridge.
Once it’s hard the water will be separated.
Then I mix that oil with beeswax and mint.
Put it into small round tins and give them away
Our friends and family love it.
I keep a bunch for Stacey and I aswell.
But short answer yes they are separate and necessary steps.
